Seminar Title

Welcome to the website for the 2011 AHCA Annual Seminar and FHEA Annual Meeting and Trade Show!

This will be the most important training event you will attend this year because this year all of the codes and standards used by the state of Florida for the review of the design and construction of health care facilities are changing!

On December 31, 2011, the state will begin enforcing the 2010 edition of the Guidelines for the Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities, the 2009 edition of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code and updates to all its related codes and standards, the 2010 edition of the Florida Building Code with significant revisions to Chapter 4, Sections 419 for hospitals, 420 for nursing homes, and 421 for ambulatory surgical centers and with some major revisions to the Accessibility Code.

The two days of AHCA seminars, Monday and Tuesday, September 26-27, will concentrate on presenting and highlighting the principal changes and interpretations to all of these codes so you will be able to continue to design, construct, and maintain your healthe care facilities. In addition, Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) will be awarded to those who have been scaned for recorded attendance.

Registration for the two day AHCA Seminar and FHEA trade show includes handout materials, submission of session attended for continuing education units to the Florida architecture and engineering boards, two continental breakfasts, two full lunches, coffee breaks, and a trade show reception Monday evening with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks.
